Many of the following topics are covered in the Webster Parent/Student Handbook. To summarize some of the more common questions/areas:
6th and 7th grade students will receive a student planner. Student planners will be optional for 8th grade. Your 8th grade student may come to the office to request a student planner. Students will only receive one student planner. Replacements will be $5.00.
To support safe and healthy schools, the District requests that all parents, students and staff monitor for symptoms and stay home when experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms.
It is important to notify the school anytime your child will be absent from the building (including late arrivals and early pick-ups).

Students may carry essential school items in a backpack. The expectations for backpacks are:
Labeled with student name and easily visible
Zipped up when not grabbing materials
Items not in use should stay in their locker
Kept under the chair during instructional time
All outerwear and lunch boxes must be stored in lockers.
Phones are not to leave a student's locker anytime throughout the school day. Students can check for messages while at their locker on the way to lunch.
School-wide behavior expectations follow the ROAR approach:
Responsible
On Task
Accountable
Respectful
The Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) model is used to create an environment within Webster that encourages positive behaviors and interactions. Refer to the Webster Parent/Student Handbook to learn about how discipline referrals (major and minor) are managed.
The outside doors open at 7:05 AM. Students will gather in the Commons/Cafeteria. Breakfast will be available for purchase from the Cafeteria from 7:05-7:25 AM. All breakfast food needs to be consumed in the Commons/Cafeteria. At 7:15 AM, students can head to their lockers and/or first period classrooms.
GORiteway will carry on with all bus transportation as in previous years. Please contact 262-375-3102 with any route questions. Please use Here comes the Bus app on your phone for real-time updates and notifications on bus transportation.
Students can keep their phones in their backpack or locker but they MUST be "OFF AND IN YOUR LOCKER." Following is the policy from the Webster handbook:
PERSONAL COMMUNICATION DEVICE (PCD) POLICY
The use of PCDs is only permitted when predetermined by the administration or teachers to be for educational or medical purposes. Students are prohibited from using or displaying electronic communication devices (PCDs) - including but not limited to cell/mobile phones, earbuds/AirPods, iPads, gaming devices and recording devices - during the school day, in school buildings, vehicles and at all school sponsored activities between 7:30 a.m.-2:47p.m.
Inappropriate smart watch and earbud/pod use can be referred to as a disciplinary matter. Students are not allowed to use PCDs, AirPods, or earbuds in the Commons, hallways, breakout areas, recess/lunch or in passing during school hours and are only acceptable with the permission of the appropriate staff member and must be off and in a locker, just like cell phones.
Students may check their PCDs for messages at their locker on the way to their dedicated lunch period. Phones are not to leave the students’ locker at any time throughout the school day.
Chromebooks will be cleaned, updated and distributed on the first day of school.
Please see this documentation for families to create an observer account in Canvas.
The Webster Healthroom will continue to welcome visitors for common visits/requests (i.e., ice packs, band-aids or medications) and help with monitoring symptoms and contacting parents as needed.
Medical Administration
If your child needs any prescription or non-prescription medications at school, a parent/guardian needs to complete the authorization form and drop it off in the main office with the medication.
Immunizations
Please email updated immunizations to ncofta@cedarburg.k12.wi.us.
The IMC is where you will take your chromebook for repairs. All of the online research and databases offered to Webster students are available via Canvas.
Lockers will be available to students. Students can access their locker number and combination on Wednesday, Aug. 21 @ noon in the "Student Information" section of Skyward Family/Student Access.
Phones are not to leave a student's locker at any time throughout the school day. Students can check for messages while at their locker on the way to lunch.
No cash will be accepted in the cafeteria for lunch purchases. Students must use their student ID card to purchase any item from the cafeteria and have adequate funds on the account balance. Student ID numbers are no longer accepted on the keypad.
To help with making new connections and establishing routine, all students will eat with their homeroom classes from Sept. 3-13. Starting Monday, Sept. 16, students can choose to sit where they want during lunch. Lunch rotations will occur each month, and these dates will be communicated to students in advance during homeroom.
Each grade level lunch will be split into two groups whereby half of the grade eats inside while the other half is outside for recess. They will then swap. Benefits of the split lunch include: easier to manage students in the Commons; health/safety; lunch lines move faster so students can eat longer.
Aramark, the District’s food service provider, has their own health/safety precautions.
