Getting Crafty in Your Classroom

The students walk into class, immediately get seated, and are ready to get started! That is the day and each period when ClassCraft is a part of your everyday routine. In this workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to get started with ClassCraft by creating their own basic account. Participants will see how ClassCraft easily integrates into Google Classroom, which makes it even easier to setup students and incorporate it into your daily routine. You will walk through the various components, such as the daily event and how students can gain or lose XP, GP, and HP. Students are placed into teams and utilize team work to progress through the levels of ClassCraft. You will also see how you can setup a Quest that incorporates your lessons or unit of study. BADGIFY 'EM: An Innovative Approach to Digital Citizenship in Middle School

Launching a 1:1 Chromebook Program in middle school prompted one school district to search for an innovative way to provide unified digital citizenship training to over 1,600 students. Their solution was BADGIFY 'EM. This unique program uses a series of self-paced, stand-alone modules that combine multimedia-media and game elements to deliver a comprehensive program of digital citizenship training. The Badgify ‘Em format is easy and fun and promotes a school-wide culture that reinforces this learning. Thorough and on-target for middle school, Badgify ‘Em is an excellent vehicle to learn content and attain skills to become lifelong digital citizens.
