About Us

The division of Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering, being a specialized domain in the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT H, is aimed to do state-of-the-art research in the area of Hydraulics, Hydrology, and Hydro-meteorology.  

The division offers 2-year and 3-year MTech Programmes in HWRE and full-time and part-time PhD Programmes. 

Right now, the HWRE division consists of six faculty members working in diverse areas of water engineering such as groundwater modeling, urban floods, contaminant transport, sediment transport, surface hydrology and satellite meteorology and agricultural water management. 

Apart from the regular teaching and occasional training programs, the group is actively involved in real-world projects through consultancy and sponsored research.
