Nazi Propaganda

Did you know kids unwittingly helped the Nazis in the Holocaust? Navigate through this website to learn more about propaganda!

Most people won't think of propaganda when they think about World War II and the Holocaust, but it played one of the biggest roles throughout the whole thing. Nazis used propaganda for so many purposes. One of the main points they tried to get across was that Jews were bad. The anti-Semitic picture on the left is supposed to represent a Jewish man. As you can see they were represented as slobs with big noses. That wasn't the only thing Nazis did with propaganda. You could also say that Nazi propaganda was the cause of the Holocaust, and that Hitler banned anything if he felt like it. One of the worst things about propaganda is that it was used in schools. Children would learn false things and believe it. Nazis were good with propaganda, and one of the reasons was because of some of the methods they did. They would repeat the same info over and over, they would twist and exploit the truth, appeal to people's emotions, give the impression most people agree with the statement, talk to people in their own "language," and they would use accessible media.
