The Jobs

The Hitler Youth and BDM had many jobs during and after their training. One job that was available to some children was a group that was known to many as the Junior Gestapo. Their job was to spy on the other children and even their own parents. They were looking for anyone who could possibly be helping a Jew. Another job area for boys coming out of the Hitler Youth were the death camps. Many of the children that came out of the Hitler Youth went into the army or went and worked in the death camps. In fact 5,000 Hitler Youth members defended Berlin during the Battle of Berlin
