The History of the Hitler Youth

The Hitler Youth was not originally Hitler's idea but he grew to appreciate the power of controlling the youth therefore he created the Hitler Youth. As part of Hitler's plan to grow the Hitler Youth on April 3, 1933 50 Hitler Youth members stormed the Berlin Headquarters of the Committee of German Youth Associations and stole files of information on six million German children that were a part of rival youth groups. Using the stolen information they proceeded to terrorize the other groups. As a result 400 other youth groups disbanded and some of the children that were a part of the disbanded groups joined the Hitler Youth. Unfortunately on December 1, 1936 Hitler passed a law that required all children to join the Hitler Youth.
