About me

My name is Ms. Elkins and I am SO excited to start my 4th year teaching 7th grade math and science at CDS. I graduated from UMaine in May of 2020 with a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. Throughout college, I worked in the 4-H Cooperative Extension office creating STEM curriculum and doing outreach to surrounding schools and communities. Right after college, I substitute taught in all content areas in grades 5-12 and had a great opportunity to be a long term substitute in a 9th grade computer science class. 

Besides teaching, I love all things music. I grew up in dance classes, played clarinet in band, and sang in choir. I enjoy anything and everything musical theatre and have many other interests too.  I look forward to getting to know about my students throughout the year.
