Round One:
Introductions
Introductions
This first round of videos was assigned at the very beginning of the school year. The purpose of these videos was threefold:
Learn about the rubric we will be using all year to judge our videos and apply it to our work.
Introduce our "reporting staff" to the Center Drive School Community.
Begin the hard work of learning how to work WELL with others on a group project.
It is no surprise that many of the groups took a humorous approach, and that they were often very creative. This class took a very basic prompt and ran with it. These videos show students learning how to use the technology (green screen, video editing, tripods, and more) and working together. When the videos were completed we all agreed we have plenty of work to do before we call ourselves professionals. And that we were ready to go for round two!
In this video the students used an award show interview format to introduce the members of their group. They even announce some winners at the end.
This group decided to focus their energy on talking about sports. Through several interviews and some action footage we are introduced to the group.
Join this team as they present interviews with each other in a news format. Join them in discovering the importance of time management and making sure you have time to get the clips the way you want them. The end result is hilarious and everyone learned a lot, so enjoy!
In this video the creators decided to spoof the long running "Housewives" reality shows. If you watch closely and read the subtitles of these troglodytes (a fancy way of saying cave man) you will see some creative and hilarious stuff.
In this classic interview structure, we are introduced to all members of the group and what they like to do in their spare time. Did he really just say he likes to do lots of school work?
Join this group on a trip down the red carpet, they are on fire! This video features interviews with the stars and hits all the important stuff- what are the stars wearing? And what do they do for fun? This video has some of the best energy of them all.
In this creative take we are introduced to three athletes and a self-described non-athlete (she chose to be a demon!). Watch closely, there are some truly funny moments in this video- particularly the interview with the demon.
