The Torture

Killing methods

One of the biggest methods the Nazis used to get rid of Poisoners was the gas chamber. The creator of the torture device was named Zyklon B. The gas chambers were made out of brick and were made to look like showers. They would be made to look like showers because so they could convince the victims that they were going in there to take a shower, without knowing they were really going in there to die. Once the Nazis would convince them, they would pack 200 people in the gas chambers at once. Then the Nazis would put either insect poison, rat poison or carbon monoxide to take out the victims. Not only did the Nazis use the gas chamber, but would kill people for disobeying orders, or stealing food.

How to clean up

After killing so many people, the Nazis had to find a way to get rid of their bodies. At first, the Nazis would bury their bodies. They would dig big trenches and put the bodies in there and cover them back up with dirt. Then the Nazis leaders felt like they should cremate bodies instead. The Nazis would build big ovens called crematoriums that could fit more than one body in it, and cremate people. Prisoners had to put the bodies into the ovens, and also take their remains out of the oven. Not only they had to put bodies into ovens, they also had to carry them out to big pits. The Prisoners that were selected to this job, was promised by the Nazis that they could live and not get sent to the gas chambers. Do you believe the Nazis kept their promise? Well, they didn't. Eventually, the prisoners that were allowed to live would end up being killed at some point, and younger and healthier men would take their place.
