CDNIS CAS HANDBOOK
CDNIS VISION
To inspire excellence, cultivate character, and empower engagement locally and globally.
IB Mission Statement
The International Baccalaureate® aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
The mission of the CDNIS CAS programme is to cultivate a well-rounded and balanced educational experience for each student. We are committed to ensuring that all students explore their strengths and challenge themselves in new areas. This may involve embracing new creative pursuits, adopting healthy lifestyles, or serving those less fortunate. Central to our mission is the development of leadership skills and effective project planning through the CAS project. By engaging in a diverse range of experiences, we aim to empower students to grow into their best selves and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
Dear Students and Parents,
Here you will find all the information you need to carry out your CAS program successfully. The Creativity, Activity, Service program is an experience-based personal development program. It is designed by you, with the support of your CAS Coordinator. My role is to guide you through this process, listen to your questions, and to get to know you. If you want to speak to me, just come to the my office (409F), book an appointment, or send me an email.
On this website you will find the explanation and regulations for CAS experiences, project weeks, forms and other useful materials. When you create your CAS portfolio you can document this completely online on Managebac through uploads. You are welcome to use any of the established social media tools (Wordpress, Blogger, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram), alongside Managebac, since you can link these together.
I wish you an inspiring year!
