Zander Mallinger "Football under the stars"

This painting is a photo of me catching a football under the friday night lights at are first football game. I got insperation from this photo because it is a memory for me since it was my first ever varsity football game. I also decided to draw this painting because I like the all white idea with the stars in the background. I think somethings that went well in this painting was the color of my skin the shading I did with the skin and the football. I think some things I could have done better on was more detail on the jersey and a second coat on the cleats and the gloves. Overall I think this painting is magnificent and I think I did really well on such a detailed piece.

This is my Baseline Sketch Art. I got insperation for this photo by a shirt I was wearing on the first day of school. I thought that doing this for my sketch would be a cool idea and a good way to start my journey through painting. I feel like it was a good challenge of a paiting to start off with.

Zander Mallinger, Shark Bite

This is my second painting. This painting is a shark swimming in the ocean and it looks hungry. I decided to do this painting because I feel like it would have tested my skills in painting from all the details and shading that I had to do. I feel like I did pretty well on the shading and the details in the teeth and the eyes. I think something I could have fixeed though is glare on the shark and I could have maybe added some glare to the water above to make it look more realistic to the glare. Overall I am pretty proud of myself for all the detail I put onto the sharks body but I feel like I still can do better.
