"Why Deforestation is bad"
12 x 18 inches
String, paper, glue, marker, and pencil
What was the source of inspiration for your work? Our sub had our class list of ideas for our Arpillera and someone said deforestation and I remembered a documentary about how deforestation destroys habitats and nature and I wanted to do an Arpillera about it.
What was your process for creating this work? I just started by putting a line down the middle of my sketchbook and drawing how forests should look and how some forests look.
In what way did you demonstrate persistence or problem solving when you faced challenges? I kept working on my art even if I didn't like art projects and tried to make something at least bearable to look at.
What creative risks did you take, or what is something new you tried or learned? Cutting special shapes for my art project.
What do you like the most about your finished work? It's a bit different from other people that did deforestation
What would you change if you could start over? How different from each other the trees looked.
