I chose this because I felt it was something kind of simple but also kind of challenging for a first project. I got the idea from pictures on my phone. The picture reminded me of warm summers going out on the river so I decided to draw it.
First I got a piece of paper and then began looking at pictures to give me inspiration. Next I began lightly sketching the wood dock and then the sun and grass. Then I began adding the details like the lines and screws on the dock the little boat in the water and the clouds around the sun. Finally I began shading some areas to make it look better then I was done. The tools I used for this drawing were a blending stick, pencil, paper, eraser, and led powder stuff.
There really isn't a meaning to it its just a simple and calm drawing. I want them to think about simpler times when it was calm and peaceful. The objects in this artwork are the little boat in the water, the dock going across the bottom, the pieces of grass, and the sun and clouds.
I think the most difficult part for me was the little boat I tried a lot of different things to make it look right but it still looks a little weird to me. I overcame it by trying and trying again until it somewhat looked fine to me. If I were to change anything I think I would still change the boat and maybe make the dock a little less crooked.
Im not really sure what style of art this is but it is kind of like a landscaping. It makes it unique to me because this is the kind of senery I enjoy looking at when I just want to be by myself. I think what I love most about this drawing is how the grass turned out and the area by the sun.

My idea was to draw a picture of a dog that I took a picture of. I got the idea from my phone and I really like dogs. Well I have two dogs and they are one of my favorite animals so I decided to draw one.
First I got my big piece of paper then began sketching the outline of the dog. Next I started from the top and began shading in the areas that needed it then went to the bottom and did the same. Then I cleaned up the areas that I messed up on and did some more shading. Finally I added the small details like the little whiskers and the sparkle in the eyes. The tools I used for this drawing were a blending stick, pencil, paper, eraser, a white pencil, and led powder stuff.
There is no meaning to it I just really like dogs and wanted to draw one. I don't know or care what people think about when they see this all I want them to know is that its a dog. There isn't really any symbolic imagery in this other than the dog.
The most difficult part for me was the nose and the eyes because I made the nose crooked at first so I had to redo it and the eyes it was hard to make them look even and they still don't look the best. I overcame my struggles by starting over and trying to make them look better. If I were to start over I think I would change the eyes again because they still don't look right to me but other than that I think it looks fine.
I think its realistic because none of the other ones seem to fit it very well. Its unique to me because I didn't think that I would have been able to do it because there was a lot of details to it but I did and my favorite animal is a dog. I love how overall it turned out other than the eyes still look a little weird to me.

My idea was to draw a picture of a fruit bowl. I got the idea from myself because fruit is my favorite thing to have as a snack or just in general.
First I got my piece of paper then began sketching the outline of the fruit bowl. Next I started to add the different fruit in the bowl. Then I looked in magazines and found the colors I needed for them. Finally I started to add the magazine papers onto the sketch of the fruits but I did not finish. The tools I used for this drawing were magazine pages, pencil, paper, and an eraser.
There is no meaning to it I just really like fruit and wanted to draw it. I want people to know I like fruit. There isn't really any symbolic imagery in this other than the different fruit.
The most difficult part for me was cutting the pieces of paper to the right shape to fit in each spot. I overcame my struggles by taking my time cutting the pieces to fit right. If I were to start over I think I would find better colors to match with the apple and maybe just get it done to see the final project.
I wish I could have finished the project so then I could have seen how it would have looked when it was all finished. I love how overall it turned out so far other than I think the red is a little to dark and I should have tried to find a lighter color.
