I first wedged a slab of clay, then designed an idea. Next, I used the slab roller to create a long strip of thin clay. I cut out the shape that I designed and used a texture plate the create shapes and designs. After I fired my pitcher, I used two different glaze colors to create a unique design. One side is a grayish-green, while the other is a bright maroon purple. I lastly put my art through another kiln fire, and it was completed. I like the pattern on the blue side and the color on the smooth side. Some things I struggle with on this project was making the shape of it and getting it to stay together. Something I dislike about this project would be how the pattern side turned out.
I first wedged a slab of clay, then designed an idea for the bowl part of the jewelry holder. Next, I used a chunk of clay and started to form the elephant. I cut out the shape that I designed for the bowl and started to form the bowl. After everything was fired, I used two different glaze colors one for the bowl part and one for the elephant. The bowl is a bluish color and the elephant is a grayish purple color. I lastly put my art through another kiln fire, and it was completed. I like the colors on the bowl and elephant. Some things I struggle with on this project was painting in between the elephant and shaping the elephant. Something I dislike about this project would be how the elephant is shaped.
First I grabbed a piece of clay and brought it to the wheel, then figured out an idea for the bowl shape. Next, I started to shape the clay into a cone before I shaped it into a bowl. I began to shape the bowl after forming the cone shape and made it into the bowl shown on the picture. After everything was fired, I used two different glaze colors one for the outside of the bowl and one for the inside. The outside of the bowl is a red-ish pink color and the inside is a very light yellow. I lastly put my art through another kiln fire, and it was completed. I like the colors on the outside of the bowl. Some things I struggle with on this project was shaping the bowl because I kept messing up and I also made it a little too thick. Something I dislike about this project would be how thick the bottom is and the paint job wasn't very good.
First I grabbed a piece of clay and brought it to the wheel, then figured out an idea for the bowl shape again. Next, I started to shape the clay into a cone before I shaped it into a bowl so all the air bubbles were gone. I began to shape the bowl after forming the cone shape and made it into the bowl shown on the picture. After everything was fired, I used two different glaze colors one for the outside of the bowl and one for the inside. The outside of the bowl is just black and the inside was a glitter black. I lastly put my art through another kiln fire, and it was completed. I like the colors on both the outside and inside of the bowl. Some things I struggle with on this project was shaping the bowl again because I made the sides and bottom too thick again. Something I dislike about this project would be how thick the bottom and sides are otherwise I liked it.
First I grabbed a piece of clay and then wedged it, then figured out an idea for the face shape and what I wanted to do with it. Next, I started to shape the clay onto a face mold. I began to shape the lips and noce after I got the face shape right. After it dried for a few days I took it off the mold then cut out the eye holes on it. After it was fired, I used two different glaze colors one for the whole face and another for the lips and the cracks just so it stays together. The whole face was a dark blue and the lips were a light blue. I lastly put my art through another kiln fire, and it was completed. I like the dark blue color and the nose the most out of everything. Some things I struggle with on this project was shaping the lips and fixing the cracks that were all over it. Something I dislike about this project would be the lips and the eye holes.
First we figured out an idea on what to do for our stop motion. Next, we picked out our colors for the ice cream and began shaping them. We then picked out a background for our stop motion. After everything was ready, we began to set it up and take the pictures one by one and we took about 80 pictures. The colors we chose were green red and white for the ice cream. Lastly, we put all the pictures into imovie and added music. I like the background we chose for this project and the idea we just should have taken our time to make it look better. Some things we struggled with I would say was getting a lot of pictures and shaping the clay because it was hard. Something I dislike about this project would be the shaping of the clay and the colors because there were other colors mixed in with the colors we choose..
