Dani Payne  "Pitcher" 1

Ceramic 2024-2025

 My idea was to make a pitcher. I got the idea because we were told that we need to make a pitcher. I choose to make my pitcher with a flower pater on it because i liked how the flower looked and added detention.

I'm done with my project. I used stoneware clay and glaze to make this project. I stared with the walls of the pitcher. Then i put on the bottom. I fired the pitcher and added the handle.  

The most difficult part was getting the shape and size of the handle right. When I couldn't figure out how to get the handle right I asked for help. If I started over, I would do a diffrent shape for the pitcher and wouldn't put on a handle. 

This artwork is a utilitarian ceramic pitcher. It's unique because it's made by me. I like how the pattern looks and the spout of the pitcher. 

Dani Payne  "Spoon holder" 1

 My idea was to make a spoon holder. I got the idea because my mom was talking about how she wanted a spoon holder. I choose to make my spoon holder look like a egg because eggs are my moms favorite color and something we always have in the house. I made the egg have a red yolk because its one of my favorite colors. 

I'm done with my project. I used stoneware clay and glaze to make this project. I stared with the shape of the egg a bit bigger than a standerd mixing spoon. Then a carved out a little ovel grove were the spoon would rest. I finally fired and glazed my spoon holder. 

The most difficult part was getting the shape and size of the spoon right. When I couldn't figure out how to get the size right i looked up a avrige sze of a mixing spoon and made it the rough size of a spoon. If I started over, I would do a different color for the yolk. 

This artwork is a utilitarian ceramic mixing spoon holder. It's unique because i made it. I like how it is a use full. 

Dani Payne  "Slump drape bowls" 5

 My idea was to make bowls. I got the idea because i had extra clay and needed to use it. I choose to make bowls because i wanted a little jewerly holder to keep on my nightstand. 

I'm done with my project. I used stoneware clay and glaze to make this project. I stared with a circle a litter bigger than i wanted the bowls. Then i pressed a pattern on and used a ring to get the shape i wanted of the bowl. I finally fired and glazed my bowls. 

The most difficult part was getting the patterns on the bowls. When I couldn't figure out how to get the size right i used the size of the ring and cut it a litter bigger than the ring. 

These artworks are utilitarian ceramic bowl. It's unique because i made them. I like how the colors ended up.

 My idea was to make magnets. I got the idea because i had extra clay and needed to use it. I choose to make magnets because i wanted decorations for my room and they will stick on my fridge in my room.  

I'm done with my project. I used stoneware clay and acrylic paint to make this project. I stared with a circle shape and cut out leafs and stuck them on. I cut out the shape of a heart and used rice to cut out the letters. Then i fired and panted my magnets. 

The most difficult part was getting the flower petals to be the same size. When I couldn't figure out how to get the size right i made one the size i wanted and cut out the exact same thing 4 other times. 

These artworks are expressive magnets. It's unique because i made them with my favorite things hearts and SpongeBob. I like how the flower looks.

 My idea was to make a Jewelry holder. I got the idea because i needed a jewelry holder/box for at my moms. I choose to make a jewelry holder because i wanted decorations for my room and wanted a jewelry holder.  

I'm done with my project. I used stoneware clay and glaze. I stared with a circle shape and cut out a moon shape. I cut out the shape of a sun and walls for the moon. Then i fired and glazed my jewelry holder. 

The most difficult part was getting size of the moon to be a good size. When I couldn't figure out how to get the size right i used a inspo picture of a moon and cut it around that size. 

This artworks is expressive and utilitarian peace. It's unique because i made it. 

Dani Payne  "Heart Box" 1

 My idea was to make a Heart box. I got the idea because i saw someone making something else similar. I choose to make the heart box because i wanted a little thing to hold things like hair ties. 

I'm done with my project. I used stoneware clay and glaze. I stared with a circle shape and cut out a heart shape. I cut out the walls for the heart and a heart lid. Then i fired and glazed my jewelry holder. 

The most difficult part was getting heart to be even. When I couldn't figure out how to get the shape right i just tried and tried agin.
