Living Room

Paper, pencils, shading tools
My source of inspiration for my project was my living room because I really enjoy sitting there with my family and watching TV. The first step in creating my finishing project was to come up with what I wanted to draw and sketch. Then, once I had finished my drawing without the tiny details, I started deciding what I could add to make it look better. I added details on the picture frame and on the TV stand. Then, I began to shade in everything to give it depth and form. Last, I made sure there was value in my drawing, so that you could see the different shades of grey. At first, it was really hard to make everything look realistic, but once I got more practice it became easier. Something new that I learned was when I was drawing the furniture I had to make it smaller the further into the room it went. I also learned how to make windows and pictures on the wall look like the fit and didn’t stick out compared to the rest of the room. What I like most about my finished work is how it all evens each other out, and nothing sticks out too much. If I could start over, I would add a table in the middle of the room and have the TV hanging from the wall. I would also add more detail to the chairs and couch because they are just really simple.
