"A night in the praire"
12"x18"
My idea for htis drawing was to draw a nice sunset with the racetrack underneath with detail, i quickly realized that i dont have the skill level or knowledge to have lots of detail. this is inspired by a real race track in Sun Prairie, WI. A place my dad raced when i was growing up.
I had used shading pencils, and oil pastels. i put all of these on a thick piece of cardboard so it was cabable of holding the oil pastel in it.
This artwork is where my childhood had started, i want the audience to realize how much this means to me.
the hardest part in this project for me was drawing the sunset, it was hard to make the transistion look smooth with oil pastel.
this is a realistic piece of art based off of a real photo. what makes this unique to me is the shades of grass and the unique sunset. i love how the sunset came together as it pretty much brings the whole piece together.
