This is the Pitcher Pot that i created in September. It was fun to learn a new technique like ceramics, and a pitcher was an amazing first entry to a new world of art for me. I had trouble sealing the inside of the pitcher with clay, however, with the help of the end of the wooden tools, i had smoothed it out. While glazing, I painted the entire thing in green, the handle with bark-esque colors, and touched every leaf pattern with a purplish bruised red. The only trouble I had was that glaze chipped on the bottom and made a rough, sharp surface that is pointy to touch.

I used the squashing machine to create large flat discs of clay, before laying and forming them over wheels to create bowls. I did not choose to glaze them black, I intended for them to turn out red, however, once the glaze had dried, its dark red property had melded into a deep black. Unfortunately, I was also unable to make the edges of the large bowl completely smooth, leaving an occasional sharp point. There were also spots that I missed during the glazing process, leaving small holes of exposed clay. Overall, this was not my best work, however it is still a part of the learning experience.

I created these magnets for my intro to clay, however before this, I had some light work with polymer clay for personal projects. I made two small animals, the first, took inspiration from a magnet of a shetland sheepdog my grandma has. I attempted to recreate the sculpting style of the magnet, using small strokes to simulate a fur texture. The second is simpler, a cat's ladder half is sticking out of a trash can, with the mouse it caught leaning out beside it.

This was meant to be a cookie jar in the shape of the head of a character from 'JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 7; Steel Ball Run.' During the process of sculpting the head I faced many challenges, including making the head look as its supposed to, keeping everything standing up, and sculpting things like the eyes, ears, and stitchloops. In the end, it came out terrible, and I decided to glaze it randomly as the project had already deteriorated.

I made this rabbit because I really liked the casted rabbit in the back, and didnt realize that it was a mold. I attempted to recreate the rabbit at first but quickly realized I would hate it if i did that. I ended up trying to put the shoddy, chubby rabbit onto a beanbag but that looked odd, more like a pool toy. So i gave him a pool, but didnt want to make water. Then I tried making carrots to fill the pool but it all ended up falling apart.

This is a bowl that I made with the help of Ms Garrity while using the electronic wheel. The wheel was difficult to use and after messing up the clay many times this shape was all that I could make, however it turned out to be one of my favorite projects because of that simplicity and the well-done glazing job.

These cups were made in one set, as I thought if I made simple cups that there would be no way i could mess them up like the previous projects. (See, Head and Bunny.) I made these cups using the thing in the back that flattens clay and also the clay snake thing. It's cool. They're okay.

This was cool, the final thing I made on the wheel. Its this mediocre bowl but i made it with my own two hands and then glazed it really nicely. Its my favorite project.
