Contrast Moon

The project design principle I decided to use was contrast. When I knew what principle, I was going to use the rest came to me pretty easily. I immediately thought of our bright white moon in the dark night sky. By putting a bright moon in a dark background, it is a very striking color difference and shows what contrast is all about. I feel that the stars and moon show contrast nicely since they are the opposite color as the black background. I was most pleased once I got a revision note that suggested for me to add stars and I think that brought the whole thing together. If I had to start over I would change the colors of the words that I used.

"Succeed"

The objective was to find a quote that you liked and make a Photoshop image that expressed the quote well. At first, I was going to have a picture of a guy climbing a mountain, but that was done way too many times before. I then decided that I would do a before and after picture of a skinny and buff guy. The pictures I have chosen support the message well since the guy had a determination to succeed and that is shown by the size he has put on. I found the quote in a book I was reading called “the greatest salesman in the world”. I think I am most pleased with the color selection theme I used which was black and yellow. If I had the chance to start again one thing I might change is to use before and after pictures of myself. I would do this to show that if I could do it than anyone else with the determination to succeed could as well.

"Slay the day"

The objective of this project was to find a picture of ourselves along with a quote we like. The planning process was pretty easy and started off by looking for photo of myself that i wanted to use. Once that was done i already knew the quote i wanted to use that fit very well to the picture. I am most pleased with how the red stands out on my body since the rest of the picture is in black and white.If i had to start over i would most likely choose a different picture and use a different color scheme.

"Film festival poster"

The objective of this project was to create a poster that could be used to inform people of film festival this year. I started out thinking i didn't want mine to look like everyone else and wanted to include the device that most films will be filmed on, an iphone. I choose to do this because i think the traditional old looking camera had been used too much and there needed to be a change. I choose the texts i choose so the title would be easily seen and the rest of the text would look neat/fancy. I am most pleased with the text and the alternating contrast with the saber colors. If i had to start again i would go to the C-pac and take a picture of the seats and screen where people would be watching the films as my base image.

"Propaganda poster"

The objective of this assignment was to express whatever controversial issue you choose in a image. My mind immediately went to pollution and how it is affecting or world. I choose to do this because i could see in my mind how i was going to do the poster. The images i choose played a big role in showing emotion on the two different earths. I am most pleased with how well the emotion of the three planets is conveyed. If i had to start over i think i would use words to convey the message more, maybe include a numerical fact.
