Logan Feuss's Art Portfolio

Logan Feuss “Shoe”

16x20,” Acrylic on canvas, 2021

My idea for this painting was to paint a shoe in motion. I wanted to make the painting look as if the shoe was mid step with a splash coming from behind the shoe. My inspiration for this project was my love of shoes and Kanye West for designing such beautiful sneakers. There is no symbolism in my painting. I mainly just wanted to portray the sneaker to the best of my ability. The most difficult part of making this painting was getting the definitive lines to separate the shoe from the background. What I love most about this painting is how I was able to paint the shoes design accurately and efficiently for my first painting.

Logan Feuss “Heartbreak Bear”

8x10,” Acrylic on canvas, 2021

My idea for this project was to try to recreate my own version of the Yeezy Bear. I wanted to take the bear from the “Graduation” album cover and remake it with the style of the “808s and Heartbreaks” album by Kanye West. My inspiration for this painting was the 808s album cover as well as different symbolism from that era in Kanye's music and performances. The most difficult part of my painting was to paint the trail lines and keeping the color in the shine of the eyes. What I love most about this painting is the aesthetic of it and how it portrays exactly what I wanted.
