Jillian Hawthorne's Drawings 

My idea for this project was to make something that was mine and I knew I had to make something that was living so I wanted to do my eye because I get compliments on them all the time. The process of this was figuring out what I wanted to draw my eye with and what would be the fastest because I didn't have a lot of time left. I then sketched my eye then got started on the color with the chalk. I then sprayed the colored parts and went back in to do the back. I used chalk, paper, blending tools, and my hands to blend. This artwork does not have a meaning to it. I want my audience to think that the eye is really pretty and see the colors in my eye, but also want them to see my real eye to see it better. What was most difficult for me was the layers of colors in my eyes because I had to do a bunch of layers to get it to look good. I overcame this by just having fun with the greens and yellows but also trying to make the eye look like mine. If I could change anything it would be how I drew the eyelashes, it's not terrible I just wish I did them a different way. This is realist art. What makes it unique is that it is my own eye and no one will have something similar to this because it is my own.
