8x11, Black and white pencil, 2026
This drawing was my first project for drawing 2, and the idea was to make a portriat of me when I was younger like I did last year in drawing 1 to see my improvement, two different pictures of me, and a different year of drawing a portrait of myself.
To make this I found a pitcure I liked and I printed it and this was a grid drawing. I printed it out then got a paper for the projuect and a blend tool and my pencil, I started by sketching and following the areas of what the details looked like and followed the pattern.
There is not a meaning to this drawing, although it does remind me of the times I said I cant wait to be older and now that I think about it I wish I was a kid again, I could get away with anything and pretty much be being myself and stuff.
The most trouble/difficulty I had with this was the crown, the shirt, and the hair. I did fine on everything else, it just the crown looks way bigger than it should be and thats okay mistakes happen im not gonna beat myself up over it, but it still kinda makes it look funky.
The type of drawing is realistic, and im improving my physical characteristics on self portraits or atleast trying to improve on them to the fullest to improve my art skills in drawing. The goal was to make it one realistic and to improve.
7x10, Still life, 2026
This is my still life project, Its not the best but I tried my best of it. We were assigned to do this as a project and Im glad we did because I dont know what other projects to do. Its a unique still life project but very cool.
To do this I took a picture of the objects sitting on the table then I started sketching them out then once I got cleared for that I added my lines and started coloring with multiple pastels and once I finished that I had my thing sprayed and outlined it in sharpie.
The most difficulty was the colors mixing around because pastels are very messy so it was hard to keep in line but once it was sprayed and the sharpie tracing made it look way better and more organized.
This is my still life project and It isn't my favorite or best by far but I am grateful to be able to try new things and to take these classes because Its stress free.
Clay, Flower pot, 2026
This is my flower pot we created in class, the color of the iron yellow doesn't look good as I expexted it to turn out. I am grateful we got the opportunity to make something different in a drawing class.
To do this I picked out a bowl I liked, lined it with plastic, then started lining the bowl with clay. Once that was finished I poked the holes in the bottom of the pot so water can drain through when I water it. Lastly when it gets fired, I starter glazing it in a sage color and yellow iron kind of made a checkered look on the outside and Its a cute flower pot.
The most difficulty was the layers of glaze, it was so messy and tiring of repeat, but it turned out very good instead of bad. I got it fired again and I took pictures of it and took it home.
This is my flower pot, I should of used a blue with a sage green, but it still looks unique and its own look to it. I liked doing something new and different.
