My idea was a raccoon. The idea just kinda popped in my head and I thought yea this will work. When I first made it on my sketch it did not look very bad. But when I got it traced out It started to come together. The first thing that I did was make a sketch of the raccoon. I just used pencil and paper for that. Then I found a good photo of a raccoon. Then I projected the photo on the white board to trace it. After that I brought it back to the table to do some fixing and make it look more smooth. Then I got started on making the face. I used a big stick thing of graphite and drew all over the paper then I smoothed it out with a paper shader. Then after I was done Mrs. Dunlavey added a protective layer to it to make sure it does not smudge. I think the artwork shows how the racoon looks without it being scary or digging in trash. It shows how calm and innocent they can be. The most difficult part for me probably would be making it look real and 3D. Mrs. Dunlavey helped me make the nose and their eyes to make them realistic. If I were to start over I would try to make it more harry and more detailed on the fur instead of the black for the whole thing. This would be on the more realistic side of art. It is the first time I tried to make an animal. I love how it turned out and that it actually looks like a raccoon
