My first idea was like Mickey Mouse cause I had to babysit the day before I made this and my nephew and I watched Mikey Mouse I was like thinking what is an easy idea and easy clay work I chose this and it was s pretty easy to do. I mean I know it doesn't look so pretty but I tried to make it quick and get done with the piece of art that I did
The process of making the magnet was cutting out a very small thing of clay with a wire and then we flattened it out with the roller I cut using this utensil that's very very sharp and traced it out to a face and the leftover from the clay I used for the ears and I rolled it up and put water to attach the ears to the face and eyes and nose. When I was done with that I put it into the kiln room which dried the clay out then I didn't use glaze but I used just normal pint and randomly picked a color and painted it.
The magnet really doesn't mean anything but I chose it because of my nephew and he loves Mickey Mouse even tho it doesn't look anything like him besides the outline but the paint doesn't
the most difficult thing about it was waiting 3 class periods to get it back out of the room but I overcame that struggle by working on another piece of work that also took some time but that's what I did to overcome it
I think it is realistic because it is from an actual TV show and what I love about it is that it's small and it has some color to it and I think my nephew wont care what it looks like but he's gonna like the color of it.
I got this idea from my teacher, The process was pretty easy so you get clay just an inch thick and then roll it out on the roller. I shaped it into a long oval and connected the two pieces with water so it looked like nothing happened . I also traced the bottom and then connected the bottom with water witch was pretty easy. I smoothed everything out out it in the fire pit witch took a week to dry then glazed it blue then put it back in the pit and it came out like this. This is just an object I was told to do in class for a good grade so it doesn't really symbolize anything
I also got this idea from the teacher, in addition to the quote. Witch I got the quote because I always use to write it into my tape before a game for football. The process was pretty easy so you get clay just an inch thick and then roll it out on the roller. I grabbed this stiraphome piece witch was in a circle and then put it on and gently hit it on the table making a small bowl shape and similar to the other one I put it in the firing pit for a week and then glazed it out it in their again and was done. This I say is realistic cause you can use it in the real world.
