Scheduling

Registration for tournaments is done several weeks in advance
Please email Club Vice President Julie Robinson at centraldewittarchery@gmail.com at least two weeks before if you know you won’t be able to attend
We will not be able to take requests for flight times (the time that they will shoot)
Flight times for your archer will be emailed approximately one week before the competition
Fees will be paid by the club for all local tournaments (not the state tournament, however, if they were to qualify for that).

Tournament Day Procedures

Each archer needs to secure transportation to and from the tournament.
Dress respectfully, and wear your current archery t-shirt that was given, that is your “uniform.” You may wear a long sleeve shirt underneath for warmth or arm protection.
Archer tournament fees will be paid by the club for regular season tournaments
There typically is spectator admission fees, which vary school to school.
Please show up at least 30 minutes before your scheduled line time and look for the participant “camp”
Competition will take approximately one hour and you may leave as soon as you are finished.

Individual and Team Scoring

Archers will shoot 3 scoring ends at 10 meters and 3 scoring ends at 15 meters. They shoot 1 warm up end at each distance.
Center of bullseye=10 points x 30 arrows so the top top score possible is 300.
To classify as a team, you must have a minimum of 12 archers (no more than 8 archers of 1 gender). The maximum number on a team is 24. All others over 24th shooter will shoot as individuals.
When they add up team scores the top 12 scores will be taken. However, if all 12 of the top scores are girls (for example) the lowest 4 girls scores will be dropped and the highest 4 boys will be included.
We are hoping to have 3 teams represent our club if we can meet the minimum requirements for team classifications. CD Middle, St Joe’s Middle, and High School. CD Middle and St Joe’s Middle cannot be combined for team scoring per NASP rules.

State Tournament

'26-'27 season will be March 25th-27th.
Held in Des Moines at the state fairgrounds
To qualify for the state shoot as an individual, there is a minimum score for your top two scores combined. Meeting the minimum, however does not guarantee you a spot as there is a limited number of spots available, therefore some of the lower scores may not get in.
You can also qualify as a team by meeting a minimum team score. Top 24 archers per team (based on their top 2 scores) may be asked to participate in this tournament.
