Carly Small "Self Portrait"
12X15, Graphite Powder, Chalk Pencils and Drawing Pencil on White Paper, 2018
The style of my drawing is realism. I drew this portrait of myself from when I was younger because I always had the best of times at that age and was creating wonderful memories I still cherish today. If I had the chance to start over with this drawing, I would change the hat to have more details in it. What I love about it is the one thing I kept colorful which is my eyes because my eyes and their color has always been a favorite characteristic of mine.
Carly Small "Hawaii Sunset"
18x24, Graphite Powder and Colored Pencils on White Paper, 2018
The style of my drawing is realism. In my drawing, I drew a sunset wanting people to realize the beauty our world gives us that we sometimes forget to be thankful for. If I started this drawing all over again, I would change some of the areas where I shaded because some parts look a little too dark. What I love about my drawing is that physical features of the face look very realistic like the lips, nose, and eyebrows.
Carly Small "Monarch Butterfly"
12x18, Colored Pencils on Green Paper, 2018
The style of my drawing is realism. In my drawing, I drew this monarch butterfly on this flower because it reminds me of summertime and the beautiful things that you can go outside to see. I would not change anything if I started over because I am very happy with how my drawing turned out. What I love about this drawing is how I drew the pedals because of the pretty fade with the pink and white colors.
