Colored Drawing

My artwork is a colored image of the movie Mac and Devin go to high school. To create it I used mechanical pencils, black pens, black markers, and yellow, pink, and green colored pencils. I drew the picture on a piece of sketch paper. I really enjoy the movie Mac and Devin go to high school and have watched it many times so I enjoyed drawing it. I did not have to look at any photo references as I knew exactly what everything looked like by memory. While making this arm work I learned how to shade, blend different colors, and use different types of material on one picture. If I made this article again the only thing I would change is try to use less colored pencils and more marker, but other than that I am happy with the piece and the final outcome.

T Shirt / Print Making Drawing

My artwork is a picture of a skull. The skull is supposed to represent the deceased rapper XXXTentacion. Since I wanted to draw him and show the fact he is deceased I drew his skull, while making sure to keep his tattoos, and hairstyle. I used a mechanical pencil pressing harder for different shades, and textures, then outlined the image with a point tip sharpie. Then, I painted and pressed print my design to paper. The major thing I learned while creating this design was really using shading, and textures all with the same pencil. I figured out you can use the same item and still make many different shades, designs, and images. I like the way this turned out I was very skeptical but once I got the shading right and the different textures down it looked good. It came out how I imagined it to be.

Black/White Drawing

My artwork is a picture of the deceased rapper xxxtentacion. I drew his hair, along with his face tattoos while trying to leave the outline of his face invisible so as to show he’s not really there. I added an Angel ring on the top of his head to signify he has passed. To make this artwork I used mechanical pencils, and sharp tipped sharpies. I had to work a lot on different shadings, and tones of gray to make different letters, or items of clothing stand out based on the color . xxxtentacion is my #1 favorite rapper I’ve been listening to him since I first got into music around 2nd grade. He is very inspiring and I enjoy embracing his words. The one thing I really had to learn and work hard with his shading and different tones of gray. There’s nothing I would change about this artwork and if I could I would add color.

Mixed Media

This piece of art is a desert landscape. Instead of having just a plain, boring landscape I added aliens with ufos flying around in the background. I originally used photoshop to draw the outlines of everything like the aliens, ufos, cactuses, and sand. Photoshop helped make sure all the edges came together nice and were not sharp. I then printed the outlined drawing and colored it in with pastel crayons. I've always been really interested in space, and aliens so I like drawing them. I just had to make sure I stayed in the lines on everything and it all looked good. I believe it came out nice. If I could do this piece over again I'd want to make it nighttime, with more stars, and planets.
