“The Strange Zebra”
4.5 x 2.5 x 14
Plaster, water, paint, paint brushes, and news paper
My inspiration for my work was actually a mask from the past it was just a plane Zebra but i kept looking at it and thinking about what i would change or add on and i decided to do it.
I had to put 3 layers of plaster on the horse mask / head, then i had to wait for that to dry, pull it out of the mask and paint it. I could only paint some parts at a time or else the paint would smush together. Then once it dry i was done.
I think i had to problem solve when i was either painting the white or red. My red would smear from the paint brush and when i painted over it with white it would be a pinkish color from the red. So what I had to do was i had to paint another layer of white and even know i don't want to do that i had to do it to solve the problem.
Something i never did before actually was use plaster. I thought i was gonna mess it up and everything was gonna go wrong but actually i did really good with the plaster.
What do you like the most about your finished work?
If I could start over i would instead of being the details black and red and the actual mask white i think i would change the main color of the mask be black and the details be black and red. I like my mask the way it is not but i also think the details being white and red and the main maske being black would actually be really cool also.

Paper, pencils, hot glue, oil pastels, water paint, water
My source of inspiration was my grandmas dog. Her dog is so adorable except her dog is not black its white. But i wanted to add color so instead of making it white i made it black.
First i had to draw the picture, then i had to go over my lines with hot glue, after the hot glue i had to use many colors of oil pastels and blend them, once i was done blending the oil pastels and coloring the picture i had to crack the picture. So what i mean by that is i would grab the picture in many different spots and put like a crease in it or pinch it, once i was done pinching i had to go over the whole painting with black watercolor paints. Once i was done with the black water paint i let it dry and it was done.
One problem i had to overcome was actually putting good colors on my project. Instead of doing regular grey for my mountains or regular brown i blended white, brown, and grey to make this really cool mountain color instead of using one solid color. Also for the sun, instead of using only orange or only yellow i blended those two to make this really cool shade to give the sun a cooler, better color. Same with the clouds in the background. Clouds are usually white or grey so when i decided to blend grey with white it makes this really cool shade so everything will stand out in its own way.
Blending is something i tried new like at first i did not want to blend anything i just focused on a main color but then i saw other people blending and i thought it looked really cool so then i realized my project has no blending and maybe i should blend some colors so i did and i came out with some really cool colors that i didn't even know i could use / make for mr project to look better than it did when i didn't blend anything.
The thing i liked the most is the mountains that i drew. I'm so happy i decided to blend colors because i keep looking at my mountains i can't help but notice how cool they look like their are a blend between grey and brown and i think they are the best thing on that picture.
If i could start over i would probably do a different background and i would probably maw the dog a different color. If i could go back and change it i would make the dog brown and i would probably make the dog in like a big farm field or something then like mountains in the back and a house, some clouds, and the sun on the horizon.

“The odd one”
Clay, Glaze, water, tools.
My inspiration for my work were the artist we looked at, Their wack faces inspired me to make a wack face with the eyes all over the face and the nose all long and messed up. People might think it looks ugly or bad but I think its cool.
I had to carve the mask with tools out of clay and then take the clay peice out of its shape. Then i had to use tools to make desighns in the face, Then we pinted them with glaze and paintbrushes, heatem them, and then they were done.
I had never used glaze before so it was a new experience for me because at first I didnt know how to use it but once we got going i got better at it.
Carving clay / using clay, i havent used clay in a long time so when i did it at first it felt weird like it was a new expericence even though ive done it before. I liked it it was fun and i wouldnt mind doing it again.
The way the glaze tturned out was cool, I like how its shiny and colorful, I like it.
I would use a different backround color then brown like firecracker red because even though i used that color of red it would look really cool being the backround color.

“ Ya Room “

Paper, Pencils, shading tools
My inspiration for my work was the picutres we looked at, i thought it was cool to draw a 3d thing and i was right its really cool. Also shading to make it look real its so cool. I had to draw the same picture twice before the real thing just to make sure i had it perfect and just the way i want it. It was a long process but its worth it. I did not know how to use the shading tools but with the teachers help and students help and trying it on my own its pretty easy to learn. Shading tools again, and the ruler, i usually dont use a ruler when i draw but it worked good and made my picture look better. The way it looks like were actually looking into the room i never thought that you could draw like that.I would change my room into a gaming room instead of a bedroom i tried to do that but it was to late.
