KT "MR PUMPKIN"
2025 clay
(IDEA) My idea was at first to just make a spooky pumpkin. But the way it changed was crazy. I first thought about putting the initials somewhere else, such as inside. But then I made up my mind and began adding them to the teeth.
(PROCESS) The process to quite a bit. It began with coiling the clay and making a round object and a base. Then I began using my fingers and a smoothener to help connect the coils until I got mainly finished.
(SYMBOLISM & ICONOGRAPHY) This artwork means a lot in what I mean by a statement piece. I want my audience to view this as another form or way that I let my creativity get the best of me.
(ARTISTIC GROWTH) A difficult part had to be trying to keep the full pumpkin from getting drowsy. I somewhat overcame this by putting trash bags inside of it and letting it dry a bit. One thing i would change is the coloring or the number of layers I put.
(VISUAL VOICE) realistic. This artwork is very unique cause, as you all know, I involve my name in everything, and as you can see, I added it here. A thing I personally love about this is how well the top piece came out(stem) it just looked amazing.
Mr Taylor "The Brand"
2025 clay
(IDEA)My idea was to create a magnet that could symbolize something related to me and represent me.
(PROCESS)My process first started with a block of clay. Then I began cutting a KT, but I made sure they were like togethether as you could see in the image. I used a needle tool for this specific moment
(SYMBOLISM & ICONOGRAPHY) This artwork is a presentation of me. I want the viewers to see this artwork as a way of branding yourself
(ARTISTIC GROWTH) The most difficult part had to be trying to keep both letters together while not breaking apart or leaving air bubbles. I overcame this by being patient and working slowly.
(VISUAL VOICE)I feel that it's very unique because it literally looks as if it's a brand. I love just how small it came out.
