Olivia Melvin "Cup Of Decorations"

I was making a ceramics drinking cup. I used some clay, the pottery wheeler and use the ceramics knife to decorate my cup. I just want to make a drinking where it is perfectly safe to drink and beautifully decorated. There are some hearts, the sun, and a favorite character i like in there. The difficult of my cup is the making of it, i used a pottery wheel and it was hard to get a suggest. I solve it by starting all over. I wouldn't change anything because I like it. The decoration of my are in my opinion makes it unique. I love the colors and the decorations on my cup.

Olivia Melvin "The Little Cup "

I just make this cup to put objects like jewelry or other types of materials in it. I just wanted to make small material cup. I was originally going to make a drinking but I planned to make a material cup instead. I have no place to keep my small objects at my house, so, I make the little cup instead. I used some clay and a clay knife to make this cup. The walls were a little difficult but I asked for help from the teachers. I love the small dots on the side because it is pretty like that.

Olivia Melvin "Seirenes"

My plan was to make a sea creature which is a Siren, however it went backfired. I was interested in mermaids and Seirenes which means "sirens" in Greek when I was young. I used clay and clay needles, and the clay smoother to design my bust. I just made this for fun and that was the only idea that I came up with. My most difficult making this clay was the eyes, lips, gills, and the clay hair. My original plan was to make a beautiful sea creature with clay hair but it broke by the kiln because of the hair was too thick and the face also broke. I overcome it by reattaching it back together with hot glue but the hair couldn't be reattached, so we put ribbons and some flowers on. The whole bust I would started all over. This is a fictional style of art. The thing I love about the clay is the hair.
