Lindy heister "stair way to heaven"
18x20, paint, 2020
This was something that i wanted to do to help better myself with color. I don't know how to work with color so much as i do with graphite but i thought that it would be a good time to try and practice with different mediums. I used paint matte and i try to use different brushed but most of the time i find myself just using one. This does not mean too much to me. What was difficult was making the stairs look right but i just took my time. And if i were to start over i would try and use more brushes as i think it would have made lot of things easier. To me this would be abstract because of the unrealistic colors.
Lindy heister "thermal"
9x13, paint, 2020
For this, I wanted to work with more colors and different mediums. And I thought to challenge myself even more I wanted to do something like this. I wanted it to look real but if you are seeing it in a thermal camera of some sort. I had to sketch this all out before even painting to make everything look ok. To me, this artwork means that not everything has to be objectified as there is more ‘skin’ showing but it does not mean anything this is to show my work, and if seeing it in any-other way and it bothers someone its not my problem skin is normal and everyone has it. I used paint for this. There was not much of a technic but doing one color at a time.
