Lindy heister "30 minutes"
9x13, graphite, 2020
This idea was part of my 30 minutes timed drawing. I thought of doing a rose because I know that in the future if I wanted to redo it I could really see the differences. I was drawing petal to petal and making sure that everything matched up perfectly. I used pencils of different types of graphite and a blending stick. I don't think that this means much but I like it. What I thought was difficult was the blending and making sure things match up. I just took my time with it all. I would say that this is realistic.
Lindy heister "Thinking thoughts"
9x13, graphite, 2020
This is a sketch for my week sketch. I just like drawing something that’s real and I think that this looks really realistic but also I know that it’s a drawing. I used pencils of different types of graphite and a blending stick. Again there is not much meaning. I would like my audience to think that she is pretty. I really wanted the eyes to be big. And I think that it was hard because I wanted it to look realistic still.
Lindy heister " comic relief"
9x13, sharpie, 2020
For this week’s sketch. This was something that I wanted to do for my sketch as I think that persona that she had. I had to sketch this out first in pencil then I had to go in with the sharpie. I wanted this to look like a comic type of character. It was hard to make this seem like it was in a comic from just a black sharpie but I think it worked out.
Lindy heister "greek goddess"
9x13, graphite, 2020
This was ketch that I want to spend even more time with. I wanted something powerful. I had to make a rough sketch first and then make a larger line and build up. I used pencils of different types of graphite and a blending stick. I wanted this to look like medusa but if she were to have a daughter. I would like it if I were to do this again to make the snakes look scary. Realistic, Abstract, is what I wanted this to look like.
