“The Striped Mask”
(9” x 8” x 3”)
Plaster, Red Paint, Light Red Paint, Black Paint, White Paint
My source of inspiration was a Mexican mask that I saw in a video we watched in class. First, I molded my mask using a bear mold. Then, I added all of the plaster. Last, I added all of the paint I needed. One problem I had was when the plaster wasn’t working the best, I solved this problem by letting it dry for a longer period of time and I got help by our teacher. Something new I learned was just using the plaster to make the mask. What I like the most about my project is all of the different colors I used. If I could start over I would change my project by adding a lot more details.

“Elongated Room”
Dimensions (9” x 12”)
Graphite, Paper
My source of inspiration was a bunch of rooms I found online, I picked my favorite parts of the rooms and I drew them all together. First I drew my practice paper. Next I started drawing the basic outline for my project. Then I drew the more complex parts of my drawing. Last I shaded and corrected some mistakes. One problem I faced was when I was shading, I didn’t know how dark to shade anything. I fixed this problem by getting help from my teacher. Something new I learned was how to shade in my artwork so everything has value. What I like most about my artwork is how everything looks 3D and realistic If I started over I would make more details.

My inspiration was masks I seen online. First I made the shape for my mask. Next I added my design. Last I added my glaze. A problem I faced was trying to slip and score to put stuff on it. Something new I tried was making the mask. What I like most about my finished work is the texture. If I could start over I would add more colors.

Dimensions 9” x 5” x 1/5”
List Media Used
Yarn, String, Cardboard, Weaving needle
My source of inspiration for my weaving was looking at weaving on Mrs., Butler’s website and walking around and looking at other peoples weavings. First, I set up the loom. Next, I picked out my colors. Then, I started weaving with the needle. Last I took my weaving off my loom. I problem solved when I was trying to take my weaving off my loom, I was having trouble trying to tie the strings together. Something new I tried was weaving and taking it off of the loom. What I like most about my finished work is the colors. If I could start over I would change the colors and the size.
