Alyvia Stevens "Tears"

My inspiration came from other artwork like this. I think crying eyes are beautiful. I emulated another work similar to this.I started with the background and worked on shades/tones. Then came eyebrows, eyes and tears. Strangely the eyelashes came last. There can be beauty in hard times and you can get through it.Balancing skin tone was a big challenge for me. There is so much to making it look realistic. If I could start over I would start with lighter tones and add in the dark tones, I would make the eyes more symmetrical and give a little more attention to the eyebrows.This is a lovely mix of realistic with surreal. I love the light in it, and it draws me in.
