Alyssa Lippens "Trunk"

 6"x2.5"x3", Stoneware and Glaze,2023

I titled this trunk because I thought it looked like a tree trunk which is pretty cool.  So my process to make this was needing the clay so it would be the perfect moisture. Then after that, I started molding it into this perfect piece of work. I know what you're thinking, a third-grader could make this. But I am proud of it. I don't like things looking perfect. I like it when people question my thinking. Like why did you do this? I belive that makes it more fun.

Alyssa Lippens "Bowl"

1"x5"x5", Stoneware and Glaze,2023

This amazing bowl was made of clay and glaze. You may ask, why are the sides uneven? Well, I solved many issues with eating cereal and soup. Whenever I eat cereal and get to the point where there is just milk. I always wish for a place I can drink milk without spilling it everywhere. Well, ladies and gentlemen, I solved the issue by making a divet in the side so you can successfully drink milk out of the bowl. I made this by putting it in a plastic container and shaking it until it had a bottom. I then put texture in it, then set it to be fired. I am happy with my turnout.

Alyssa Lippens "Cream"

3"x8"x7.5", Stoneware and Glaze,2023

This ice cream sundae took many tries to perfect. At first, I thought I could just roll some balls and put them in a bowl and call it a day.  But It was not that simple. I learned that if the clay is too thick then the clay will burst. So I had to find a way to make the ice cream not explode but look like ice cream. So, I made balls of clay and used a spoon to carve out the middle. Then I had to place them carefully into the bowl. They had to be in the correct spot otherwise they not get air. After I finished the ice cream I wanted to add toppings. Because if you eat plain ice cream then you need help. So I made thin layers of chocolate syrup. I added small sprinkles on top to give it the cute look.

Alyssa Lippens "Football"

Slow motion picture, 2023

The slow-motion picture took a long time to perfect. I started out experimenting with molding clay. As I experimented I was coming up with an idea. I made a big character and a smaller character. I thought why not make them play football against each other? I then made a little football out of brown molding clay. I made a sick intro for each of the characters. I gave them cool names and awesome descriptions. I took many photos of the characters playing football.
