Frequently Asked Questions
Why do we need a renovation or a new school?
The school building project discussions began in 2019 due to a critical need for space to support elementary students. An architecture firm was brought in to assess space needs, and through this process, other complex building issues were identified. Major systems at the school are well beyond their useful life; 80% of the main building ranges from 50 to 85 years old, and the most recent renovation was completed in 1989. The renovations in 1957, 1969, and 1989 present additional challenges and structural issues that are expensive to fix.
