The Cannon County Middle School Junior Beta Club Leadership Committee is part of the governing body for the club. The Leadership Committee includes and assists the officers and sponsors in the carrying out of the business, policies, and activities of the club; assists in decision-making activities of the club; provides leadership for the club and supports the officers in their decisions; and cooperates with the club sponsors in all matters involving the general welfare of the club. The members of the CCMS Leadership Committee are eligible to attend a Regional Leadership Summit.
Membership in the Leadership Committee will be open to 7th and 8th grade members each Fall and 6th and 7th grade members each Spring. Students who are elected as club officers are automatically members of the Leadership Committee due to the nature of their role in the club. Members for the Leadership Committee will be chosen based on the four pillars of Beta (Leadership, Service, Achievement, and Character), as well as their distinctiveness as leaders within their classes, by sponsors or nominated by their teachers.
The Leadership Committee Members will also participate in the Leadership Summit that is held in the Spring. These students will participate in the competitions of the Leadership Summit for the eligibility to participate at the National Convention in those areas.
