Technology Education Programs Strands are offered in five separate areas. Students may take these courses as electives or pursue a 3 or 5 unit strand in technology. These strands are designed to meet the needs of students who will enter one of the strands as a career or continue their education at a two-year college or technical trade school. The Pre-Engineering strand will stress the hands-on learning-by-doing approach. Sample programs are shown on subsequent pages.
Completing a five unit strand in Technology Education will allow a student to be exempt from their three-unit World Languages requirement for the Advanced Regents Diploma; however, all students must earn one credit in World Languages.
