I archive the classes at the end of the year so you won't have access to your designs on your school account unless you download them. Instead, you can create a personal account. Go to Tinkercad.com and on the top, right corner, select "Join" then choose "Create a Personal Account."
DO THIS WITH YOUR PARENTS SINCE YOU ARE CREATING A LOGIN!!!
On the top, right corner it says "Export". Choose ".stl".
Helpful Hint - Group all the elements in the design that you want to print and click the "Group" button before you export it.
Make sure to check your design for gaps before you download.
These are the instructions for opening the .stl file in your slicer software. Each printer has its own slicer, so the locations of the tools may be different from the video, but the process is the same.
If you don't have your own 3D printer, you can still print your designs by going to the Connetquot Public Library. They charge $1/hour of print time. The video shows how to use their website. This is the link. www.connetquotlibrary.org.
