Welcome to 7th Grade!

I am so excited for a fun filled year! My name is Mrs. Stewart and I will be your science teacher. I also teach one section of ELA. This is my 6th year as a teacher at Stratford. I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Iowa State University- Go Cyclones! Last year I completed my Masters Degree in Educational Technology at Concordia University Chicago.

Here is some more information about me:

• I graduated from Stratford and attended Western Trails, Cloverdale, and GBN too!

• I am married to Mr. Stewart. He teaches 8th grade math here at Stratford.

• I have a Miniature Australian Shepherd named Shea. I love to take her on walks around the neighborhood and to PetsMart.

• This summer I biked over 150 miles.

• My favorite color is pink.

• I coach boys and girls soccer.

• I've always known that I wanted to be a teacher. My mom is a preschool teacher, so I grew up in her classroom. I discovered my love for middle school during student teaching.

• Mr. Stewart and I are Milwaukee Bucks season ticket holders. We go to a game any chance we get!

• I love to travel! One of my favorite trips was my trip to Italy and Greece with Ms. Pisano, Ms. Penninger, and Ms. Diprizio

• Science is my favorite subject to teach because I enjoy setting up labs and demonstrations.
