Assignment 1- Ozobot

FIRST - You will go to http://games.ozoblockly.com/shapetracer-basic and complete all of the lessons. Show Mr. McCann when you finish all 10 levels

THEN - You will start the assessment


Timeline:

  • 1 week for ozoblockly (Week 1 of class)
  • 1 week for project (Week 2 of class)

Project:

Objective: Students will be able to code an Ozobot using block code on the Blockly web tool that demonstrates their understanding of sequence and debugging. Students will also be able to describe what coding is and the process they took to complete the assignment.

You and your group are tasked with getting your Ozobot through a maze. You will be using this website to code it using block code:

To get a 3:

Get a maze from your teacher. Program your Ozobot to get through the maze from start to finish. Include lights and movement in your code. Once you have completed your code, create the Google Slides presentation that was sent to you and include slides that have the following things:

Slide 1: Name and title of assignment

Slide 2: A screenshot of your code

Slide 3: An explanation of how you created the code, how you sequenced and how you debugged your code (be sure to use specific vocabulary here such as sequence, bug and debug).

Slide 4: A video of your robot completing the maze.

Slide 5: Reflection - What obstacles did you face during this assignment? How did you persevere?


To get a 4:

Slide 2: A screenshot of your code

Slide 3: An explanation of how you created the code, how you sequenced and how you debugged your code (be sure to use specific vocabulary here such as sequence, bug and debug, use the definition and explain as if you are the teacher).
