Inclusion facilitators provide support to general education and special education staff in designing support plans for students with IEPs to plan for meaningful and successful participation in General Education environments. They do this by working collaboratively with building teams to do the following:
Identify barriers to student success in general education settings;
Support the development and implementation of plans to teach students the skills required to be successful in the general education environment;
A the development and implementation of accommodations, modifications, and/or elements of universal design for learning that will enable student success in various general education environments;
This type of support can be initiated by reaching out to an inclusion facilitator, coordinator, or through discussions occurring within building teams.
