The best way to reach me is via Parent Square. You can also send me an email at shannon.nemec@ccsd21.org. I will respond to your message as soon as possible. In addition, you can call the Tarkington office at 847-520-2775 from 9:00-3:30 and leave a message so I can call you back when I'm available.

As a parent, what is my responsibility to support my child at home?
I will do my best to explain the assignments clearly before students leave for the day and start working independently at home. If they are having difficulty, please encourage them to do their best to complete the activity. Please send me an email or write me a note if your child gets frustrated or needs extra help, and I will make sure to assist them they next day.

At the end of each day, students will be filling out their Assignment Books by writing down all of their homework activities. In addition to completing the work, it is their responsibility to get their book checked and signed by a parent.
