Please send me an email and call Tarkington School 847-520-2775. All lessons will be available to students regardless if they log in or not. Lessons can be completed.

My email address is nicole.ouimette@ccsd21.org. This is the best way to reach me. My telephone number at school is 847-520-2775 (front office), however as I will be in google meetings with students all day, I will have to return calls after school.

Please be sure that your child as a morning routine of getting up to have enough time to eat a good breakfast at home, bring their charged chromebook to school, and are at school BEFORE the 8:50 bell rings. This will set your child and our classroom up for a successful school day.

When your child comes home from school, please check their assignment notebook for a list of homework and their behavior during the day at school. Once your child has completed their homework, watch them put it in their No Excuses University Folder and then sign their assignment notebook. Also, please be sure their chromebook is charging for the next day.

I will do my best to explain the assignments clearly before students leave for the day and start working independently at home. If they are having difficulty, please encourage them to do their best to complete the activity. Please send me an email or write me a note if your child gets frustrated or needs extra help, and I will make sure to assist them they next day.

At the end of each school day, I will take time to write homework on the board. It is your child's responsibility to copy the homework in to their assignment notebook. I will then go around to check that they have copied everything correctly before we leave for specials.
