Powder River Energy Corporation facilitates a variety of competitive scholarships for eligible high school students from northeastern Wyoming. PRECorp’s service territory covers Sheridan, Johnson, Weston, Campbell and Crook counties.
Scholarships vary, they include all college studies programs or are specific to lineman training. Please look at the available scholarships on this site.
The objective of the PRECorp Apprentice Lineman Scholarship is to encourage, promote, and educate line workers for enduring and rewarding careers.

About this Scholarship
This scholarship is to support Wyoming residents pursuing educational opportunities to advance the agricultural industry via traditional institutions of higher learning, or vocational or certificate programs.
Who is eligible?
Graduates of a Wyoming High School or GED program.

Time: Part-time or full-time
Amount of scholarship: Minimum of $1,000 but variable depending on area of study and program
Length: 1 year, recipients are encouraged to re-apply.
About this scholarship
This scholarship was established to support nursing students in the State of Wyoming.
Who is eligible?
Any high school graduate or GED recipient, or current enrollee in postsecondary institution, who is a resident of Wyoming.
What is the amount of the scholarship?
$3,000 for study towards an Associate’s degree.
$5,000 for study towards a Bachelor’s degree.
What is the length of the scholarship?
1 year
Scholarship recipients may then re-apply for an additional 3 years. Scholarship recipients are responsible for knowing which opportunities allow for re-application; they will not be notified about this specifically.
The Wyoming Trucking Association (WTA) is proud to support Wyoming students pursuing careers connected to the highway transportation industry. Scholarships are awarded each year through the WTA Scholarship Fund, memorial scholarships, and contributions from member companies. Awards are paid directly to educational institutions for student use.

Wyoming Conference of Building Officials
Wyoming Conference of Building Officials is offering scholarship(s) The Wyoming Conference of Building Officials (WCBO) Scholarship Program will be awarding a scholarship(s) up to $4,000. for the 2025-2026 school year. The WCBO Board of Directors established the WCBO Scholarship Program in 2021. Scholarships are given to graduates of Wyoming high schools who enroll in a Wyoming college, university or trade school approved by the WCBO Scholarship Committee and who are pursuing courses of study which could lead to a career in the construction/building industry. These fields include, but are not limited to: general building construction, electrical, mechanical and plumbing fields; business management, accounting; office procedures and management; computer skills and safety. The deadline for scholarship applications is February 1, 2025.
