Social Skills

Students are identified by the teaching team at Rawhide/ Recluse Elementary Schools as students that could benefit from Small Group Counseling. The focus of these groups will be based on student needs and data. The focus during these groups could include: academics/problems with grades, healthy peer relationships/social skills, helping with transitions, behavior issues, attendance, etc. 

Miss Jo utilizes a Social Skills Curriculum and Character Strong Curriculum for lessons during Social Skills Groups, and tailors the lessons for each grade level. Parent permission slips are sent to parents to sign as soon as a student is identified and referred by the teaching team to receive assistance in the group setting.
