About
History
Campbell County School District Aquatic Center opened in 1982. The facility has not only impacted the lives of more than 200,000 students over the past 40 years, it’s also been among the best swimming facilities in the region over that time.
The facility, built in 1982, has become a bedrock of tourism in the community and plays a role in teaching more than 5,000 Campbell County K-6 students how to swim and be safe in deep water each school year. It’s the fastest pool in Wyoming as well, a title it still holds even with new pools having been built throughout the state.
Who we are
The Aquatic Center employs four instructors who are Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor Certified, with one Water Safety Instructor Trainer and Lifeguard Trainer. Along with Aquatic Director Phil Rehard, we have over 50 years of teaching experience in the aquatic environment.
