Teachers can use ThingLink in various ways to enhance their teaching and engage students. The platform enables individuals, educators, and businesses to enrich their visual content by adding interactive elements such as links, videos, audio, and other multimedia annotations. The district pays for Thinglink, so you and your students can take advantage of this tech tool.

How are CCSD1 teachers using it right now?
Baylee Kerkvliet has her DHS English students use thinglink to highlight holiday traditions around the world. Check out her example thinglink and a couple student examples below. Melina Foster uses Thinglink as a choiceboard. She also has her DHS English students create thinglinks over various content.
DIS teachers are using thinglink to re-enforce math and ELA concepts (Escape Rooms). Vicki Geer is using it to have her students practice their spelling; it allows them to self-check themselves in order to move on to the next spelling word. She also has made numerous other thinglinks for her students to practice addition and subtraction. See her examples below. In an extension group (led by Erin Lesner), students are working collaboratively on the same thinglink to highlight books they are reading.
DMS English teacher, Rebecca Elliott, is using it as an extension project (book shelfie). She also has her students create their own thinglink escape rooms over the ideas/content from their novel study, Alex Rider. I created a wild west escape room as an example for her students... it is over Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Natalee Brace used thinglink to highlight places and events that were discussed in their 5th grade class novel, Number the Stars. The current 5th grade team is using this Three Branches of US Government Activity to re-enforce their social studies content.
