This year we will be using various resources such as Primary Mathematics, enVision, the NYS modules to teach our math curriculum.
Year at a glance:
Students will explain how whole numbers work through an understanding of place value so that they will be successful in their gaining knowledge of how multiplication and division works.
Students will then examine how parts of numbers work through examining fractions and decimals.
Additionally, 4th graders will work with geometric figures applying operations to measure specific shapes and determine perimeter and area.
Graphing is reviewed during math but is incorporated into the science and social studies areas as well.
