4th Grade Science
First, 4th graders will explore the process of scientific inquiry through observations, investigations, analyzing results, creating explanations and hypotheses, before sharing their findings with others.
Building on their knowledge of how scientists work, they will explore the concepts of digestion, nutrients, food chains and food webs.
The use of simple machines over time and their ability to help humans do less work will be analyzed and explored this year.
4th graders will view the Earth as a changing force that is both constructive and destructive. Volcanoes, earthquakes, and rocks and minerals will also be covered.
